1983		The Dregs break up in January. T Lavitz records two songs 'Crystal' and 'Between Coming And Going' at Eddy Offord Studio in East Point, GA in April. T Lavitz, Rod Morgenstein and Andy West tour with Paul Barrere.
1984		Two songs 'Certain People' and 'Group Therapy' are recorded at Studio 4 in Philadelphia, PA in July. The song 'Times Square' is recorded at Unique Recording in New York, NY in November. 'Extended Play' is released.
1985		T Lavitz joins The Bluesbusters (Paul Barrere, Catfish Hodge, T Lavitz, Freebo and Larry Zack).
1986		T Lavitz, Jeff Berlin, Steve Smith and Scott Henderson record a show for the 'Players' album at Hop Sing's on January 19. 'Accept No Substitute' is released. T's first solo album 'Storytime' is released. The Bluesbusters tour from June until September. The studio side of the 'Players' (T Lavitz, Jeff Berlin, Steve Smith and Scott Henderson) album is recorded at Bijou Studios in Hollywood, CA from August until October.
1987		'Players' is released. 'This Time' is released. 'From The West' is released.
1988		The Bluesbusters break up. The Dregs reunite in April to record a demo CD for Ensoniq. 'Off The Record' is released in May. The Dixie Dregs tour from June until the end of August. Dave LaRue replaces Andy West who is unable to do the tour. T Lavitz tours with Mother's Finest. 'T Lavitz And The Bad Habitz' is recorded and mixed at Bijou Studios in Hollywood, CA in December.
1989		Mother's Finest, with T Lavitz on keyboards, appear on the Arsenio Hall Show. T Lavitz tours with Bill Bruford. 'T Lavitz And The Bad Habitz' is released. T Lavitz tours opening for the Steve Morse Band.
1990		T Lavitz tours with the Billy Cobham trio (with Jeff Berlin on bass).
1991		Widespread Panic records an album in February and March with T Lavitz on keyboards. 'Widespread Panic' is released in March. T Lavitz joins Widespread Panic in April. 'Mood Swing' is released in April. Widespread Panic tours until the end of the year.
1992		T Lavitz plays his last show with Widespread Panic in February. The Dixie Dregs reunite for a tour in February. Two shows at the Center Stage in Atlanta, GA on February 14 and 15 are recorded. 'Bring ‘Em Back Alive' is released in July. The Dixie Dregs tour from September until the end of November. Jerry Goodman replaces Allen Sloan. The Dixie Dregs receive a Grammy nomination for the album 'Bring ‘Em Back Alive'. T Lavitz wins the 'Jazz Keyboardist of the Year' category of Keyboard Magazine's Annual Readers Poll.

1998		Jazz Is Dead tours in January and February. The shows at the Bottom Line in New York City, NY on February 6 and 7 are recorded. 'Blue Light Rain' is released in June. T Lavitz leaves Jefferson Starship in August.
1999		Jazz Is Dead (T Lavitz, Jimmy Herring, Alphonso Johnson and Billy Cobham) plays six dates at the Catalina Bar & Grill in Hollywood, CA with Alex Ligertwood. 'Windows Of Heaven' is released in February. The Hillbilly Funk All-Stars (Catfish Hodge, T Lavitz, Vassar Clements, Kenny Gradney and Richie Hayward) tour in February and March. Jazz Is Dead (T Lavitz, Jimmy Herring, Alphonso Johnson and Rod Morgenstein/Jeff Sipe) tours in April and early May. The shows at the Fox Theater in Boulder, CO on April 13 and 14 and Maritime Hall in San Francisco, CA on April 23 and 24 are recorded. 'Laughing Water' is released in July. Another Jazz Is Dead tour follows in July and August. The Dixie Dregs do a short tour in late August. The band is joined by original members Andy West and Allen Sloan. The shows at The Roxy in Los Angeles, CA are recorded. Jazz Is Dead tours again in October and November.
2000		Justice League (Jimmy Herring, T Lavitz, Adam Nitty and Richie Hayward) tours in January. 'California Screamin’' is released in February. The Dixie Dregs tour opening for Dream Theater in February and early March. Andy West joins the Dixie Dregs for this tour playing seven string guitar. The Dixie Dregs tour in August with the Steve Morse Band opening.
2001		Another Steve Morse Band/Dixie Dregs tour follows in January. Jazz Is Dead (T Lavitz, Jeff Pevar, Alphonso Johnson and Rod Morgenstein) tours in March. Jimmy Herring, T Lavitz, Richie Hayward and Kenny Gradney record an album at Southern Living at its Finest Studio in Atlanta, GA in May. 'Great Sky River' is released in July. Jazz Is Dead tours in August. 'Endangered Species' is released in October. The Dixie Dregs tour the East Coast in November and December.
2002		The Dixie Dregs tour the West Coast in January. Jazz Is Dead (T Lavitz, Jeff Pevar and Jerry Goodman) tours in March with several dates as part of Beatle Jam. Jazz Is Dead plays some dates in April (opening for Billy Cobham), July, a short tour in August and in September. 2004		Jazz Is Dead plays some dates in February as part of Beatle Jam. T Lavitz plays some dates with Jim Capaldi in March. T Lavitz takes part in a recording session with Jeff Pevar, Dave Livolski and Rod Morgenstein.
2005		Craig Erickson, T Lavitz, Rob Wasserman and Jeff Sipe record an album at Prairie Sun recording studio in Cotati, CA. The Dixie Dregs tour the West Coast in January with the Steve Morse Band opening. The Dixie Dregs tour the East Coast in March and April with the Steve Morse Band opening. T Lavitz, Rod Morgenstein and Dave Livolsi record some footage for an instructional CDROM in August. T Lavitz, Dennis Chambers, Jeff Berlin and David Fiuczynski record an album at Wellspring Sound in Acton, MA in September.
2006		'Boston T Party' is released in January. Jazz Is Dead (T Lavitz, Jeff Pevar, Rod Morgenstein, Jeff Sipe and Dave Livolsi) tours in March. T Lavitz teaches a five-week summer course at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA in July and early August.
2007		The Dixie Dregs tour the West Coast in January with the Steve Morse Band opening. T records a project with Dave Weckl, John Patitucci, Frank Gambale, Steve Morse and Jerry Goodman during the first half of the year. Once again, T is invited to teach a five-week summer course at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA in July and August. He becomes the Artistic Director of a new ensemble, called the "Rock Workshop." Jazz is Dead performs a one-off gig at the Berklee Performance Center on July 23. T appears for the first time at MoogFest on September 22. The event also features Thomas Dolby, Jordan Rudess, Adam Holzman and others. 'School of the Arts', the project with Dave Weckl, Frank Gambale, Jerry Goodman, John Patitucci and Steve Morse is set for release on October 9th by Magnatude (Magna Carta) Records. On November 3rd T's new trio will play their first gig at the Center for Arts in Natick, MA.
